Apple Starts Seeding Lion 11C71 and Sends iCloud Welcome Emails

Apple has started seeding a new Lion 10.7.2 (11C71) build to developers, but it is not yet appearing to all developers. As you know that Apple is preparing  to launch the iCloud service alongside iOS 5 and the iPhone 5 in the next two weeks, Apple appears to have let some “Welcome to iCloud” emails slip out early.

On Friday an AppleInsider reader received one of the emails , welcoming him to iCloud and advising him that his email address is the Apple ID he’ll use to get his iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC set up.

The email advises users to “follow these instructions and you will be up and running in no time,” but unfortunately the instructions page on Apple’s website is not yet available, suggesting the email was likely issued prematurely during testing.

Apple must be work on the  final preparations to launch iCloud. iCloud is expected to launch alongside iOS 5. We expect to hear more about the iCloud at the iPhone 5 event on October 5th.
