Apple succeeds in blocking the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales in Australia

Sydney Morning Herald reports stating that Apple has indeed achieved to get an Australian judge to block the Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 from being sold in Australia, claiming that they are copying the iPad’s design.  Apple claimed that Samsung are  infringing on two patents. The Australian judge ruled that for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to be sold in Australia sufficient changes must be made so that they do not infringe on those or any patents, however, as it stand now the selling of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 must be stopped.

Apple won this own. however the two giants still have other litigation that are no taking place in Europe and the United States. Other than Australia Apple has managed to stop sales of the Samsung tablet in Germany as well, as we have reported to you earlier. We have heard that Apple is intending to keep doing this in as many countries as possible.

Samsung have said that they do not plan to address the patent issues just yet, which are regarding the screen of the tablet, as they are focusing all their efforts on building a defense case against Apple. We have heard news saying that Samsung has now set up a store near the Sydney Apple store where it is selling the Galaxy S II for ONLY $2, and that is directly to affect sales of the iPhone 4S.

We wonder what this legal war will come to in the end?
