AT&T Reaches 1 million iPhone 4S activations

AT&T announced that is launched one million iPhone 4S activations this Tuesday. They have called this the most successful iPhone launch they have had to date. AT&T launched their first iPhone in 2007 and even though there are now other providers for the iPhone AT&T still seems to be preferred by many.

Above you can see a video to why customers have picked AT&T over the other carriers which are Verizon and Sprint and now being added to them C Spice. So why are customers choosing AT&T over the other carriers?

Well, it is simple really most of the them are saying it is due to the network speed. As AT&T was the first carrier in the world to launch iPhone in 2007 and is the only U.S. carrier to support iPhone 4S with 4G speeds.

“It’s no surprise that customers are clamoring for iPhone 4S and they want it to run on a network that lets them download twice as fast as competitors’,” said Ralph de la Vega, President and CEO, AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets.

We posted earlier that Apple announced this week that iPhone 4S sales had reached four million units over the opening weekend across all carriers in its seven launch countries. We are expecting  the iPhone 4S to launch in 22 more countries at the end of next week.
