Confession: 2/3rds of Google's Mobile Search Comes From Apple’s iOS

Yesterday, in the hearings of Senate Judiciary, Susan Creighton, a new Google employee, tesitified under oath that Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! all bid to become the defaulth search enginer on iOS’s Mobile Safari Web Browser. As we all know, Google won the big, and we can assume that Apple gets some revenue from Google making it its default search engine.

However, during this hearing, Michel also mentioned briefly that two thirds of mobile search comes from Apple iOS devices, which is interesting when you think about all the Android devices available in the market. But its not surprising when you consider all the millions and millions of iPads in the market.
