iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak Is Already Covered

The iOS 5 release is in two days time, and around this time is when everyone starts to ask about jailbreak possibilities. Well we heard that a tethered jailbreak is already available for the new software, but with changes.

We all know that a tethered jailbreak is really just inconvenient as you would have to connect your iDevice to your computer after every restart. However, it now seems that we will shortly have the untethered jailbreak very soon. Yesterday ion1c twitted that this matter is being handled.

Just for those of you out there who are do not know ion1c, I would gladly tell you that he is the hacker that is responsible for the  iOS 4.3.1, 4.3.2, and 4.3.3 untether. Quoted from his Twitter page:

“As far as I know iOS 5 untether is covered by other people already. Guess who :p”

However, he would not confirm who it is that is working on it as you can see in the above screenshot of his posts. We think that he is referring to the Chronic Dev team. As we have posted earlier that the team claim  that they have found exploits for the iPad2, iPhone 4S and other iPhones to come.

The important thing is that you can expect to have available the untethered jailbreak regardless on who exactly is working on it.
