Pre-Order iPhone 4S starting Friday 7th October

The Apple event that we have all been waiting for has just finished and Tim Cook has wrapped it all up. The conference was very exciting, impressive and amazing to say the least. We now know for sure that there will be pre-order for the iPhone 4S starting from the 7th of October.

In case you did not realise in all the hassle and bustle of the event, the most amazing feature on the iPhone 4S is the “Siri” personal assistant. It is exclusive to the iPhone 4S as it required a lot of computational power provided by the handset’s  dual-core A5 chip. We have been told that there will be the same app available for the iPad 2. Note that there is now for the first time a 64GB version of the iPhone.

The iPhone 4S is exactly the same as the iPhone 4 when it comes to looks and design there is not new or different about it. However, that changed when you look at what is inside the iPhone 4S, safe to say the the iPhone 4s and the iPhone 4 could not be more different.

The iPhone 4S comes with:

– A5 Processor that give 7 times greater gaming ability

– The battery time has increased to a talk time of 8 hours

– It has an 8 megapixel camera

-Full HD 1080p video recording capability

– Siri assistant feature

– It is compatible with GSM and CDMA networks

The the iPhone 4S pricing is as follows for the three different capacities: 16/32/64GB versions priced at $199/$299/$399. As mentioned above the company will start accepting orders as on this Friday only from buyers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France and Germany. A week later on the 14th of October the pre-orders will start to be accepted in Japan. 22 more countries will follow on the 28th of October and later this year the iPhone 4S will be available in 70 more contries.

Although a lot of us were waiting for the new iPhone 5, but when you think of it the iPhone 4S has so many new features that you just can not help falling in love with it and just felling you must buy it.

We at SmashiPhone would be interested to know how many people intend to actually purchase the now new iPhone 4S
