Sony wanting rights to make a movie about Steve Jobs

We got reports from Deadline stating that Sony Pictures are indeed working on getting the right to feature a film based on the  Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography of Steve Jobs.

We have heard the Sony are very keen on getting this deal. They are working on getting the rights to the the upcoming biography who is written byWalter Isaacson’s, who is the former CNN chairman and Time Magazine managing editor, just in case you did not know.

Deadline posts consider this will be a good match as there has recently been another film based on another business book and was turned into an Oscar nominated film. Yes you’ve guessed it. I am talking about the film “The Social Network”.

We hear that Apple and Steve Jobs have already worked on a movie calling it “Pirates of Silicon Valley” which as the name leads on to think is about the earlier life of Apple and how it was formed and all the way up to the events which lead Steve Jobs to go back to Apple in the late 1990s. This was a straight to the point movie and was more of a documentary type of movie talking about Apple’s past rather than a movie with a story line to it. This movie was released in 1999, and this was before Apple becoming massively popular as it is today. Most people might not remember the movie as back then there was not focus on Apple and what it is doing. Now, however , it is a completely different story, it is shocking if someone does not know what Apple is.

The film is still in the negotiation stage and there is no word of when or if we will be seeing the film. But what are your views on something like this? Will you be at the cinema watching it?
