Scott Sutherland of Wedbush Securities today issued a statement claiming that the next-generation iPhones will land in October with an iPhone that will target the emerging markets, also an LTE iPhone 5 in 2012 with a “materially improved user interface.”
We already are expecting two new iPhone models (iPhone 5,iPhone 4S) to be launched this October, but we are not sure what this means for Brian Blair’d predictions that only an upgraded iPhone 4S models will be launched.
Last month, we reported about Apple sending out 4G LTE-capable test units to carriers. About the same time we heard that the China Mobile was working with Apple on an LTE iPhone, then leading to claims that it could be the iPhone 4S or the iPhone 5. However, more recently Wang Jianzhou, the chairman for China Mobile confirmed that an iPhone is in the process for their TD-LTE network.
