41% of mobile users intend to purchase the iPhone 5

Today the results for an independent study have been published. The independent ad network InMobi told us what it expects the number of users that are planning to bu the iPhone, depending on its findings. The report states that 41% of current mobile users in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico are planning to buy the iPhone 5.

The table below is a copy of all their findings regarding the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S.

As you can see from the table above that the studies show that 50% of the 41% of users intend to upgrade their iPhones to the iPhone 5, and this will happen in the first 6 months after the announcement is made in  the much anticipated Apple event. We expect that the number may go event higher after the actual launch.

The company reports that studies were carried out to see if Apple intends to only launch the iPhone 4S what would the reaction of the customer be, and they reported that they found out that the number is knocked down a great deal to only 15% of mobile users would plan to make the switch to the new iPhone.

The study also found  52% of BlackBerry users, 51% of current iPhone users, and 27% of Android users, plan on upgrading.
