Reports just have come in that Apple is allowing customers to pre-order the iPhone 5 starting from September 30th and the launch will be October 7th. The Final Rumor Roundup for the iPhone 5 (iPhone 5 Release Date, iPhone 5 Photos, iPhone 5 Design And More) >> Here <<
The dates stated we posted by 9to5mac, who seemed sure they heard it from dependable sources. We have before heard rumors that the launch date of the next generation iPhone would be October 14th, so it seems that Apple is going to have a tough time deciding which day the actual launch is going to be. Reports have been coming in that Apple is happy with the production line of the iPhone 5 and that there have been no delays and that they can for sure release the iPhone 5 on the 7th. Apple are allowing customers to pre-order the much anticipated device as it has missed the previous WWDC 2011 iPhone 5 deadline.
Do keep in mind that this is only a pre-order and don’t get too excited. Claims state the Apple has been deciding for a time not on the date to which the pre-order will start. It came down to the 29th and 30th of September, however thinking logically the 30th of September seems the better option as it is a Friday and it is a full week before the actual launch, which is also a Friday.
Therefore, this can conclude that since Apple is indeed starting the iPhone pre-orders on the date mentioned above, then that confirms that there is going to be an iPhone 5 announcement at the Apple event in the coming week. Other news from the company is that it will be releasing another iPhone which is slightly cheaper than other versions and is powered by the iCloud. However, this piece of news did not come directly from Apple so we cannot say for sure whether the project iCloud iPhone will really take place.
As for the iPhone 5, we now know that it will be a dual-core A5 processor, have a greater RAM and storage. It will be thinner and lighter than other iPhones and finally it will have an 8 megapixel camera with HD video recording.
